Tuesday Book Club

Join the Guild of Tulsa Opera in a joint meeting with the historical Tuesday Book Club. Guild President Marlene McAllister will review Stephen Sondheim and the Reinvention of the American Musical by Robert L. McLaughlin. Sondheim is the composer of Tulsa Opera’s upcoming production of Into the Woods. Sondheim’s career spanned six decades, with mentorship from Oscar Hammerstein and an indelible influence on the music of the twenty-first century stage.

No need to read the book. Marlene will give us a thorough review, and we’ll also hear a related performance from the Filstrup Resident Artists.
